Most children available for adoption are healthy, although some do have special needs. Children in Kazakhstan orphanages are routinely tested for HIV and Hepatitis. To assist you in evaluating your child's medical diagnosis, AMI can help in locating a medical specialist to evaluate your referral.

Boys and girls, 6 months and up. Most children are of Asian or Kazakh heritage; there are some Caucasian children, and some are a beautiful, striking mix of both.

Couples married at least one year (at time of application) and single women at least 25 years old are accepted.

Although the timeframe may vary, adoptions are typically completed in 6-12 months. Timeframe based on prior USCIS approval.

Travel Requirements:

A single trip, lasting approximately 3-4 weeks, is required. Both adoptive parents must travel, but one may return home following the court hearing.
